What was surprising was that (during daytime) it didn't actually
*feel* any warmer than any of the more moderately warm days (in the
15-20 range) we've had recently. Based on that I'd have estimated
about 19C yesterday for central southern England. After the sun went
down it was a different story - an incredibly warm night for April,
more typical of midnight in a July heatwave.
