Morning soggy weather observers!
With 27.1mm of rain in Coventry from 1000hr on Sunday to 1000hr Monday
morning, this was the wettest May day in our region for 40 years (31st
May 1967 = 30.5mm).
With daily rainfall records dating back to 1893, only seven May months
have contained days with more rain than on Sunday.
Just out of interest, the wettest May day locally was in May 1932 with
45.6mm.
Believe it or not, statistically 14th May is on average the sunniest
day of the year in Coventry, though it doesn't look like it today!
A good day to you all
