Default North West Scotland - w/c 28th May

Thanks for that, they certainly seemed to portray the image
I have of NW Scotland, low cloud and mist!

It's not always like that - it was fine and sunny yesterday
although there was new snow on the tops.

However I will be going a lot further north than Skye.
It's on that little strech of north-facing coastline which is
about the same latitude as Stornoway.
So pretty remote, I doubt my mobile phone will work,

One of the benefits of being in N-W Sutherland - you can't be
got at there!

However I can vouch for the fact that phobiles do work in some
places - I've had a call every evening this week from someone
who is at a conference in Ullapool.

do they even have television up there

Yes, but who needs TV?

I take you point about the northerlies. I was wondering
how cold it could be in certain conditions, the sea will
still be pretty cold and there ain't much between there
and the arctic.

So pack the shorts along with a winter coat basically.

Good advice. But warm *and* waterproof would be better! And
don't forget the suntan cream and sunglasses.
