Default Where's all this rain, then?

There is a Severe Weather Warning out for SE England (except
Sussex) for heavy rain. Also, on R4 1257 pm some gushing girlie

afternoon and evening. So far I've had 5.2 mm today, none of it
heavy, and it has not been raining for the last two hours. Looking at
the radar I can't quite see where this professed deluge is coming
from. Can anybody else?

Outside my door currently. 23.6mm from this event so far in Penzance.
11.5mm in the early hours, the rest since 11:00 today.

More significant is the cold, force 6-7 northerly, gusting 40-50mph.
After reaching 12.5C this morning (making it the lowest max since 4th
April) it's currently (16:20) a thoroughly dismal 9.3C.
