Only 5.3mm here in Guildford Tudor. Worries me a bit as Martin in
Tawfield had had 8.0mm by breakfast!

.... classic problem for guidance-meisters: you can see the very narrow
band of heavy rain currently lying in an arc from Suffolk (through PE I
should think) to Salisbury Plain - not moving very far and some places
along that line must be getting some tremendous totals: either side, a
rather 'flatter' PPN profile, with marked variability: haven't read the
18Z rainfall yet (will post it in the thread relating to forecast
rainfall), but probably only ~5mm for the day so far.

Much wetter not far to your west, Martin and to your north-west, Phil
- 05-18z 17.1 mm by AWS here, with another 5.9 mm 20z-00z yesterday
(almost dry 00-05z), making 23 mm 20z yesterday to 18z today. Still
raining slightly; max just 11.3°C.
