I am about 30 kms north of you. I just had to go out in the rain to
empty the rain guage before it overflowed!. Got soaked.
45 mms rain in 1 hr 15 mins and it's still tipping down.

This rainfall event has seen large local variations as I recorded a mere
8.6mm overnight in St Albans; total for the month now 11.2mm. I am about
30km due west of Harlow.
Plenty of vertical development in the Cumulus now so more rain seems likely
soon.
