T'was just a shower(ok a heavy one)

18.00(20/6)-18.00 55.2 mm

18.00(21/6)-21.00 38.4 mm

15.00-21.00 75.6 mm

16/8/2004 gave me 53 mm but 200 mm upstream in otterham

Don
Boscastle

Exactly Don. Put 250 mm+ over the high ground and Boscastle would be devastated
again.
Nothing can be done, it is where it is. The recent flood preventions presumably
will do a good job with light rainfalls

Filling the flood plain with tarmac www.southwestholidaycottages.com/bost.JPG
doesn't increase the the risk?

Don,
Your message seems to have disappeared, but if you have any data at
all on the various flood events in Boscastle, Camelford etc. I'd be
very interested. Not just rainfall but wind data would also be handy.
Just email me. Use link at www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/weather.html
I've got some data from EA but I'd like a lot more.
