With yesterday's rainfall, we have just amassed 244.5mm of rain for
May and June combined so far in Coventry.
This is now the highest May and June rainfall total here since records
began in 1870 - the previous record was 224.2mm in 1878.
Despite having the driest April around here since 1938, the rainfall
total for the first six months of the year stands at 475.1mm - only
the first half of 1872 (482.7mm) and 1977 (496.7mm ) have had higher
rainfall totals.
Still more to come before the end of the month, I think!
