This has been widely reported in the press (no surprise) but I have not
heard any regional qualification. It wasn't up here or in many parts of
Scotland I would expect..


They'll mean London.


I think it's based on the Met Office's England & Wales Rainfall (EWR)
figure.

Nothing special in Raunds, 97mm. Wet yes, record breaking no. In
Northants the June rainfall was very variable. Northampton 15 miles SW
of me recorded 177mm.
