281mm/hr Violent rain and thunderstorm Leeds
It's heading East Northeast, but I think we had the extra lift over the
higher ground. On the rainfall radar the brighter echoes were to the West of
Leeds.

Currently the time is 2030. It has been raining for 30 minutes - at it's
maximum rate at around 2015 the Davis VP2 was giving a rate of 281mm /hr:
In other words if it had continued for another hour at this rate we would
have had Sheffields monthly total for June. Total rainfaall 21mm in 30
minutes. This is Monsoon rain!!!
It is the first time my flash flood alarm has been activated.

area.
