Default [OT] Red Kite?

I have seen quite a few red kites in central and southern England in
recent years. Coming back from Christchurch tonight I thought I saw
one circling just off the A3 between Guildford and Wisley. Is this
likely. Ping Phil? Incidentally the last three days have been very
pleasant in Essex and on the above mentioned stretch of the south
Coast, warm, dry and now with beautiful clear air giving great views
from The Hogs Back. Dave

Red Kites are now spreading out quite a long way from their initial release
area in the Chilterns and are, as an example, seen all around Hertfordshire.
I have seen one near the Sussex coast at Shoreham quite recently so I am not
surprised at your sighting in Surrey.
