Default [OBS] Chalfont St Giles - Fri 20th Jul 2007

Chalfont St Giles - Friday 20th July 2007
------------------------------------------------------------

0530z N F1-2 1500 -RA BR 8St004 15.3/14.5 1013
RMK: Very dull and gloomy. Only 0.5 mm rain since 00z so
nothing of any significance here so far.

0900z N F2 1700 RA BR 6St004 8Ns020 15.5/14.7 1011
RMK: Rain has been mostly slight but became mod about
15 minutes ago. Not a significant event yet.
24-HR STATISTICS: Max (0900-0900z): 24.9 at 1415z
Min (0900-0900z): 13.4 at 2135z
Grass min (1800-0900z): 11.0
Rain (0900-0900z): 6.3 mm

1200z VRBL F1-2 15km -RA RETS 4St006 6Ns050 14.1/12.9
1009
RMK: Continuous thunder and lightning 1000z-1130z. Mostly to the SW
but
one brilliant flash and almost simultaneous crack of
thunder. The
heaviest of the rain has stayed just to the SW though we
have had
occasional heavy bursts. Mostly, though, it's just been
slight to mod.
Davis VP says 14.7 mm since 00z so not a notable event here.
I suspect
it's very different not very far to the SW. Much brighter to
the S now so
it looks as if the event is coming to an end here.
