Hi Colin, Just curious, who provides the rainfall figures, The UK MO,
COL, or AWEKAS?. The BBC are quoting Brize Norton at 115mm.

I take the rainfall figures from http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.u...er/nationwide/
and from WeatherOnline http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/ . They cover
the 24-hour period ending 18.00 GMT (19.00 BST).

When I looked earlier his evening, only OGIMET http://tinyurl.com/3253wd
quoted 125 mm for Brize Norton - 10 mm for the 12 hours ending 06.00
GMT and 115 mm for the 12 hours ending 18.00 GMT.

WeatherOnline and a Belgian synops list I consult quoted 10 + 2 mm
which was clearly wrong http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/EGVN.html

I think the "2" has been corrected to "115" which gives 10 + 115 = 125
for the full 24 hours. WeatherOnline now gives 125 mm for Brize
Norton.

Ready to be corrected if I have misinterpreted this, of course !
