Default [WR] West Moors - '100' up!

It's been like November here today to add to Monday's misery, and
it's still raining now. Yuk.
Only six completely dry days this month so far.

94mm here, almost certainly over 100mm allowing for the roughly 20%
under-read on my Davis system. Just waiting for some drier weather so
I can carry out more tests....

Jim, Bournemouth

As a Davis system owner I wonder why Davis send their systems out set up to
under-read as this seems to be the general experience. I would expect them
to under-read in very heavy rain as a consequence of the tipping bucket
design but they should be reasonably accurate under normal rainfall
conditions. They are adjustable but unless the precise error is known it is
difficult to make the correct adjustment.
