Mind you, it's stopped me harvesting the Toms since they've all got
blight


In fact I have watered transplanted lettuce and leeks but established
plants have not needed any additional water. The soil here contains a
lot of gravel which are ice age related and is very free draining.

Fortunately I remembered to treat the outdoor tomatoes with fungicide
before the blight struck so they still look OK. The variety is
supposedly blight resistant but independant tests have shown that not
to be the cae.


I've planted 3 different varieties, treated them and they've all succumbed -
still my courgettes have gone mad this year as well as my greengages and
apples so it's not all lost. (salad leaves, peas and onions looking good
too)
