We were in Paphos, August 11th 1999. The day of the total eclipse. The heat
and humidity was horrendous. So much so, that we vowed never to visit Cyprus

conditioned and even opening the window when we got up in the morning made
your clothes literally grab you.

I was there last June. I was surprised how cool it was (mid-20s mostly).

The only place to escape the discomfort was in the pool. now we visit in
October, still very warm but more pleasant.

Not true - you should have gone up to the Troodos mountains. We even
found some real flowing water up there!
