well so far the replies seem to be from those in the South West which appear
to be really happy with perhaps rather more in the way of sunshine than here
in the SE. Its just not warm enough, I dont call 20C warm for Late August
and with this Northerly flow around the High which is still too far West, no
matter what the rest of you enjoy - you are obviously all active gardeners
or do it yourselfers that dont feel the cold. I just wanna laze in the
hammock. Definitely no sitting out in the garden chairs after 6pm already!
and its not even late September yet, though it feels like it. I still say
the High is too far West and continue to moan.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :-) In this part of the SE it was,
for me, just about the perfect summer day. The stickiness of yesterday
had all gone and the intermittent cloud cover kept the temperature in
the high teens. There was a pleasant coolish breeze too. Not an ideal
day, though, for those who like hot sunshine.
