Some that I can think of:

May-August 1995: Highs seldom seemed to be far away from the UK: for
most of May and early June it was out in the Atlantic giving cool
northerlies but bang on June 21st it shifted east, bringing the best
summer I can recall by a long way.

Persistent "Bartlett Highs" in place to the south of Britain in
winters 1988-89, 1997-98 and 2004-05 (amongst others) :-(

April 2007- did we use up this year's supply of blocking high pressure
that month?
