Default Avbrief?

It seems very suspicious to me that the link is broken at such a critical
time. Again it has gone down since 07:45 08/07/02 today. We go for weeks
without much happening of interest and just as the curtains open the lights
go out. Is this a ploy to get people to subscribe to the Met Office radar @
£57!!!

AvBrief Alerts / Notices (last update: 07/06/04 17:40Z)
There is a break between the UKMO and AvBrief at present.
radar images and some other visual data may be missing for a while

A very digruntled user.

PJB - how does that work ? Genuinely interested.

So Raw data comes directly from Radar sites rather than through MetO

?

No it comes from the Met Office, but the feed that drives the web

server
is
not the same as what gets sent to external customers such as avbrief.

The
problem was reversed the other week, no website data was available

however
Avbrief was receiving the data.. There is no problem with the radar

network,
it is simply a comms problem at the met office with this particular

data
feed. If i was avbrief i would be asking for a REFUND !!

On the 16th June there was a DNS problem at Met Office which affected

the
whole website not just the Aviation section. Was it this date you were
referring to ?
