Coolest July day for eight years here. High 11.0C which is the lowest
for July since 1996 (10.6C)

Not much rain or wind, but it was not expected to be so bad with us. Max
gust in the past 24 hours only 26kn with 4.8mm rain. That will do for
me, I don't like rain or wind, but I do like sunshine and warm summers.

Not here, however. Sunny periods all day - we walked into the village for lunch
in shirtsleeves without even bothering to take a jacket or jersey. Coolish
northerly wind, but not enough to make me wish for an extra layer of clothing.

I'm like you, Ken, I don't like rain, though I can put up with wind.
