Area of rain moves slowly north over England and Wales on Wednesday night -
heavy in eastern England - but decreases in intensity over northern England
on Thursday morning. Second rain area moves from France over the Channel
Islands overnight and then on to parts of the south coast and adjacent areas
of southern England. Showers develop in the Midlands and southern and
eastern England in the afternoon and turn heavy with thunder in quite a few
places.

Wittering 108 mm = 57 mm (12 hours to 06z on Thursday) + 51 mm (12 hours to
18z on Thursday). Is this correct or has some duplication crept in
somewhere ?
