I took a look at temperatures & correlations (based on de Bilt, The
Netherlands data).
There is no appreciable correlation between summer & winter and vise
versa. The well known example of 1947 sticks in the minds of many
people (a cold winter and especially a very cold February followed by
a long and hot summer), but it is really the only clear example in the
entire 20th century.
There is a weak correlation between winter and the following spring.
The same holds for summer and the following autumn. But that is all.
