Default Current set up bodes well for winter cold!

Yes, the last two bigger showers through here (Swaffham area, Norfolk)
have been hail/rain mix and have fetched the temperature down briefly to
6c. Brr...

One can imagine come Jan/Feb this airflow would produce frequent
sleety/hail showers that might just have some snow in them on the
trailing edge.

Once upon a time of course, this airflow in winter would have seen a
snow-cover. Not any more I'd guess. Shame really.
