A good day to hang out the washing. Us strong pegs.

Contrast strongly with my wife's uncle's account of his life and times in
Houston, Texas. He was over here on holiday last week and mentioned in a
conversation that he has to dry ALL his washing in the tumble dryer. The
city authorities, in the part where he lives at least, do not allow (amongst
other things) anyone to hang their washing out on a line in their gardens
because it "spoils the look of the neighbourhood." Given the usual
conditions there, they'd be dry most days in 10 mins flat.

What hope for our grandchildren when you continue to have such a boneheaded
approach from the world's most profligate nation.

Regards,

- Tom.

So much for the Land of the Free. (Land of the free
electricity, obviously). That's Texans for you. Living proof that
Mexicans shagged buffalos.
