I watched the first 10 seconds and decided it was the usual triumph of
ignorant-tv-reporter-junk over science, so switched it off.
---------------------------

Not being one to "knock" any lay programme on weather, I just watched it on
video and thought the actual footage was good. The amount of damage looked a
lot worse than some of the Florida hurricanes I have seen reported. Perhaps
they don't have over a million trees to wipe out! The blonde Dr. was the
only person I thought who had an agenda and was prone to say some stupid
things but the people on it who were there had similar experiences to me
that night, just a bit worse.

I found her a bit patronising, as though we were only 6 years old,
perhaps it was aimed at the readers of the Daily Express :-)

Keith 6 year olds are pretty damn clever nowadays, try 3 :-)

With each day I feel vindicated in my decision donkey's ages ago never to buy
newspapers (any) ever again. I made a similar vow a few years ago never to watch
TV weather forecasts ever again but occasionally find myself tempted :-) I have
kept my vow not to watch things like "STORM" and GW programmes though - I have
to keep my blood pressure down - LOL. Reading the proper science on the InterNet
and in the literature is plenty good enough for me!
