It does. I should have checked that one. The Met Office bar chart
for Gravesend shows nothing above 10°Chttp://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/gravesend_latest_weather_gr...

I think we should discount Gravesend and declare Altnaharra the
highest once again. I did check the low minimum at Aboyne and that
seems to be correct.

The Gravesend figure must be wrong. The maximum here was
only 8.5°C, placing it in the bottom 2% of all my October maxima,
starting 1983. I am about a mile and a half ENE of Kenley and at
roughly the same altitude.
