Default Brazilian synops?

I just noticed that we seem to be getting a fraction of the Brazilian
synops we used to get a couple of weeks ago and all the years since I've
been decoding. Does anyone know whether this is just a glitch in the
data stream or has some other non-related to weather dead head got his
abacas out?

Me, I'm not bitter!

A little gripe:

What is it about synops that when the subject comes up there is a wall
of silence? I've always kept to the "rules" yet have never felt I've
been a member of some "exclusive" club, maybe it's in my head. My
obsession with knowing what the weathers doing "Home & Abroad" is just
something that's in my blood and will be to the day I die, yet I'm
beginning to find it hard to keep it going with family and work
committments. There are many things I would like to do, but don't have
the knowhow to do, and have been very lucky to have help and
encouragement from many on this forum. My original comment maybe me
getting paronoid, but I do wonder how much longer I can keep it going.

Oh yes, what brought this one on, NOAA

http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/SL.us008...flnd/DS.synop/

They've changed the rolling archive so you only get a 6 hour window
before you've lost data, bang goes my lie-in-bed tomorrow :-(

And in case you wonder, NOAA has a number of locations/Countries that
don't appear in the usual FSU (Uni) sites, although it is Res 40
friendly. I've e-mail FSU before but nothing happened, shame, it would
make my life a lot easier.
