Default When will this all end???

Well said Martin.
It is so tiring when people think of equinox and solstice as a 'beginning'
when of course they are the mid-point. Historically, the May Day
celebration served the purpose of welcoming in the summer.

Have you forgotten the first two to three weeks of June already?

The poster was refering to Summer, the first two to three weeks of

June
are in Spring.

... whilst I have some sympathy for those thoughts, in fact, for
meteorological / climatological 'accounting' purposes, the months June,
July and August are regarded as the 'summer' months. In fact, when using
the tables of averages (i.e. above normal, below normal etc.), 'summer'
runs from mid-May to mid-September.

Martin.
