Jon.
It's interesting why the Blair Government made Sir David King 'chief
scientific adviser' to their globally renowned government of tosh/slosh tax
and spin. In fact they also, I believe made sure the man was knighted for
his services in 2003.
His CV reads
"Sir David has received a number of awards including: Royal Society of
Chemistry, Medal and Award for Colloid and Surface (he's very good at
scratching the surface)Chemistry, 1978 (UK); Royal Society of Chemistry,
Tilden Lecturer, 1988/89 (UK); British Vacuum Council (that should be very
useful when advising the cabinet), Medal and Award for research,
1991;Procter and Gamble (again useful when dealing with GW soft-soap)1990 "
Okay. far more of a scientist than I'll ever be, but 'chief scientific
advisor' on such topics as GM foods, foot and mouth disease and the biggest
threat of all to the human race 'Global Warming'! Come on he's only been
appointed to justify tax rises under the Fatwah against cars (the ones with
honest drivers anyhow), taxpayers (the ones that work) all under the banner
'fundamentalist environmentalist declare war on those pigs and dogs who use
their cars for nothing but personal use getting to work!.' In essence its
almost a labour fundamentalist version of the Tonyban. Tony ban this, Tony
ban that.
Okay I'm ranting, but let's look at least one, of this motley crew of GW
protagonist.
Ken Zen Livingstone. A man who hates the infidel car owner so much he bans
them (at a price) from the centre of London. He argues the disruption to the
free movement of Londoners and the pollution caused by those anonymous
vehicle drivers, is a price to high to pay! Unless you fork out a fiver of
course, but then the self styled Mullah organises a formula 1 race stunt in
the middle of London causing total traffic disruption and pollution.
Look I'm talking like babbling idiot now. Those that bother to read this
will think I'm plain mad or simply ignorant, ah - that reminds me David
King, that's where I went off the rails.
