Default Daily Mail: Siberian Big Freeze Approaches

Squelching through the mud, Paul C at , blathered on thus, and

But Piers Corbyn, from longrange forecasters Weather-Action, said that
after a brief lull, the bad weather will return with a vengeance from
the middle of next week.

He added: ......

"The average temperature for January as a whole will be close to
freezing, with 0.8C (33.4F) at best, and could fall to minus 12C
(10.4F) in the South."

Blimey that's a low average for the South. Best wrap up warm.

Was that irony or sarcasm...? Or neither?
