Default Snow going fast

The snowcover here in Ontario, Canada is melting fast.

We've had continuous snowcover since late November. Since December
16th, when there was a 30cm snowfall, the snow has been deep.

However, yesterday was 4C and today is 7C. The warm air, which
originates near the Gulf of Mexico, and ample snowcover, has produced
dense fog throughout the day.

Rain is falling now at 3:50 pm EST.

The high tomorrow could be a record. On the same date a week ago we
had a 25 cm snowfall.

In extreme northern Ontario the high today was 18C above normal. In
southeastern Ontario it is 11C above normal.

Cheers,

The thing I remember about the winter thaws from my time in Ontario,
is how they only lasted a day or two at the most. No doubt you will
be soon be down below zero again.
