Sadly yes, and I'm off for a weeks skiing in the Alps. With freezing
levels expected to be over 3000 metres and the dreaded Barlett High
sitting over head, it's going to be a washout. Although there will be
some radiation cooling overnight I suspect its not going to be enough
to offset significant melt! Yuk wish I wasn't going now.

Is it my imagination or does the GFS seem to underestimate
temperatures? Each run over the past couple of days has got slightly
warmer until the forecast has reached the near term.
