Sadly yes, and I'm off for a weeks skiing in the Alps. With freezing
levels expected to be over 3000 metres and the dreaded Barlett High
sitting over head, it's going to be a washout. Although there will
be some radiation cooling overnight I suspect its not going to be
enough to offset significant melt! Yuk wish I wasn't going now.

Les Arcs 2000, yes at 2000m.
This week is going to be warmer still. There are a couple of chances
that ridges will form over the UK allowing colder air to drain down,
but the GFS seems to overplay these. Meteo France is going for maximum
temperature of +7 on Sunday for Meribel Buring [2040m]. That's
completely insane. I can't see that damn Barlett high shifting so if
it's like that all week it's going to be miserable.
