Default Dry day soon?

I realize that the UK is not usually not as rainy as the
international
stereotype, but if this keeps up the rep we be well deserved
:-)

The other stereotype is that the weather is uniform throughout
the UK. It's not. We have just had a gorgeous weekend with
plenty of sunshine and only a few spots of drizzle this evening.
It was a tad windy some of the time, admittedly.

It must be particularly gloomy this winter.

Not here it isn't.

Your days are super short (it gets dark real early)

Ah, but just think of the long summer evenings when it stays
light until after 10 o'clock!

it is frequently overcast and there is no
snow on the ground to brighten up the landscape.

True. But only 'frequently', not 'always'.
