I believe it's something called "winter".

Not doing to bad this year, 225mm acculated snow so far. Compared a
miserly 110mm last year and 210mm the year before. With the current
patterns and the SST's still falling (mainland irish sea cost is now at
8C) I expect the traditional end of Feb deposit might be reasonable this
year.

Currently just an inch or so of lying snow and -2C (falling under clear
skies). I think the anenometer and wind vane have frozen up, both stopped
registering variable readings rather abbruptly but at different times
(2015 ish for speed, 2130 for direction).

Doesn't really get going up you way until February does it!
Milder for the next few days which is good. Snow and ice are over-
rated by some on this ng imho.
