Precipitation in southern Ontario is, on average, relatively evenly
spread out throughout the year. I've read in posts that this is not
the case in the south of England, where the summer is noticeably
drier. Though total rainfall is quite high in the summer, almost all
of it comes in thunderstorms, meaning that a heavy amount falls in a
short time. The summer weather is warm enough here that localized
convection T-storms are quite common. Drizzly, grey skies are abnormal
from mid-June through to mid-September, as well in the winter for
obvious reasons. Strangely, in the summer of 2007 it was hotter than
normal (regularly 30C for a high and humid), yet convection-style T-
storms were few.

Today there was light snowfall this morning with a chilly temperature
of minus 14C. Now at 2:15 pm EST it is sunny and minus 7C. The wind
has been calm throughout the day.
