Interesting site. A bit off-topic but I had a look at Prestwick Airport
and was interested to see that the old A78 main road is still clearly
visible where it used to cross the runway towards its northern end,
before they built the by-pass in the 1970's. The crossing was
controlled by men in sentry boxes at each side of the crossing. Planes
had right of way!
The nearby airports of City of Derry (Eglinton) and the old Ballykelly RAF
base have a railway line through them. Even now the trains have
priority:-)
