I also like to check out cold locations. Just had a look at Vostok
(89606). They had a min of ms43 last 'night' - pretty cold for them.
Usually in mid summer they get around ms 20 - 25. I wonder what the
reason is? Could it be global warming?

I keep a record of Vostok as well, but I don't have an max/min averages
only mean, does anyone have these?

January so far shows:
Average max of -27.3°C High -23.4°C 12th
Average min of -36.8°C Low -42.6°C 24th

How relevant are average maxima & minima to somewhere which has no
daylight in winter & 24 hours of it in summer, anyway?
