The trouble with that link is is continually updates (overwrites) so
when I just looked at 1825 UTC, the patterns to which you referred
were no longer in evidence.

(09:03 GMT), one should look for the cloud formations right to the north of
Lemnos and the SE of Thasos (islands in the far north of the Aegean). I
guess this link will remain stable, as it contains the time of the satellite
picture. These counterclockwise swirling formations would move
southwestwards and new ones would form at the same place. Possibly a lee
effect of the very high mountain on one of the islands?
