More dumbing down. It's the usual insult to assume that the public
can't understand numbers such as 60 mph winds.

No doubt the temperatures will be half as warm as they are today:-)
Ouch!

Will the public will really understand the current high wind
warnings? My wife works in the Education Department at the Air Museum
at Duxford. They have an open day today - and the weather is perfect
for the school kids and their parents. I just wonder how many
potential visitors will NOT turn up today because they are confused
about the dire warnings of doom and gloom that have been issued for
Monday. In the light of past experience, some WILL be confused and
think it's too risky to visit today. Wife still gets paid whether
they turn op of not!
