The media are calling the depression that has just passed over England

So we get a winter storm with spring tides !

Joe

When I was a kid my mum would always say as she backed me off to
school at this time of year

"March in like a lion, out like a lamb"

However it is good to know that the Cabinet met yesterday to help save
us all from such a national disaster.

Hmmm.... how many deaths as a result of the storm? Well perhaps the same
cabinet could meet and discuss the death rates in the NHS as a result
of 'super bugs' which I believe runs at a far far higher level than
any weather event, even though that apparently is caused my AGW.
Furthermore the Met Office should be ashamed of its now political role
in the tide of human affairs.

Oh by the way: spring.
