I saw that too Will. Was looking for guidance as to how they calculate
their surface gusts as it's clearly not a site-related gust ratio from
looking at the other forecast gusts for Blackpool. Any pointers as to how
it's done?


Uses boundary layer dynamics straight from the high resolution model and a
few "tuning" factors to allow for local detail.
