So were we but it didn't happen. Where did it go?

Looking at the charts last night I was expecting to be woken by the noise
anytime after 0300 but it was windier at midnight and then only F6. We've
had a bit of rain, 6mm since midnight, and some hefty, blustery showers
this morning but nothing like what I was expecting. Did the low track a
little further south thus we missed the band of gales?
