Default Forecast

This is now an underforecast London snow event -
light snow continues out to here at the 'East edge'

I've suspected a drop in public
forecasting quality at weekends for a while and
today is effectively an extended weekend ...

PS bet this would go unnoticed in Banffshire :]

Dry and bright.
Weather here in Reading has been cloudy, with rain since 0815 and a few
flakes of snow mixed in during past half hour.
Did no-one at Exeter or the BBC Weather Centre notice the area of Ppn. over
the midlands in the period around dawn?
Do Exeter and the BBC Weather Centre talk to each other?
I am not a trained forecaster, but it was pretty obvious that there would be
rain or snow for the morning period over many parts of Central and Southern
England. It may well brighten up this afternoon.
