Default 0600Z RE-RA West Moors, E.Dorset

On Apr 6,
... (0730Z): back to 'light' snow/just about, but over past half-an-
hour, classic large-flake event (best this 'winter' season) and we now
have a general but shallow covering on all NON-paved/tarmac surfaces.
Depth max (top of screen) ~1 cm, but generally 1cm. On paving,
virtually still clear (just wet - surface still too warm I fancy), but
local road has patchy/slushy mix on top - traffic running freely. Vis
~ 1km, with flake size now quite small, some element of mist as well
as PPN: Looks like the event is on the way out.

... (0800Z): very light snow now - just a few small flakes now and
then: VIS back up to at least 2 km with OAT +0.7.

All 'blacktop' surfaces damp (isol wet), even where not pre-treated.
All paving damp. Remaining surfaces patchy, melting snow - the benefit
of recent days' strong sunshine.

Martin.
