Began here at 4.05am. Have 2 ins lying snow in slightly elevated
location north of Cheltenham.

About 1.5" here in the Arle area.

Max today just 6.8C, coldest Apr day in 5 years.

Good wet snow. Trees slightly weighted down. Sun now
coming through, temps at 1.0c. A typical garden variety april snow
fall.

In recent years, spring snow seems almost to have been more common than
winter...

Makes me think of the golden years (1980's). Does anyone recall
the April 1999 snow?.

How about the 1981 late April snow! That was the last time I can recall
an April snow cover (official definition) here.
