Default Sleet

Steve,
Can't say since I was in Exeter - but Birmingham was 4C with
8.4mm of rain this afternoon.

Driving down to Exeter this morning was a glorious 'Autumn' day - moderate
frost (good enough for January/February) and mist and fog - particularly
over the Avon at Bredon.
Exeter was warm and sunny - almost unbroken all day.
Driving back a few bits of showery rain - looked like decaying convection,
but passing Cheltenham very heavy rain over Bredon Hill and very interesting
clouds - long wave like clouds to the west of the heavy rain: once through
this band very well-defined band of cloud over Worcester (~20:15BST).

Anyone else in the West Midlands spot the sleet on the car windscreen
this afternoon?

In Coventry, the air temperature was 4C, so it is possible my eyes
(and those of my better half) were not deceiving me.

Might just qualify as a "snow" day!
