Anyone else in the West Midlands spot the sleet on the car windscreen
this afternoon?

In Coventry, the air temperature was 4C, so it is possible my eyes
(and those of my better half) were not deceiving me.

Might just qualify as a "snow" day!
Some "windscreen" sleet here around 1700z as the temp fell through 7c.

It was definitely sleet and not hail - big wet splodges of it.

there was a definite "heaviness" to the last rain at about 1530., the temp
fell from 14C to 5C in half an hour, according to my neighbour.

I noticed a dramatic drop here, too - from about 14C to 6C in little
over an hour!
