Default Devon Warmth

11.9 max. here Nick, so yes on the warm side of normal.
Very heavy shower this afternoon, rainfall rate 50 mm/h.

Cold wind on Dartmoor round Princetown this morning and thick fog too,
visibility 50 metres. Wind up to force 5. Had dropped to force 3 by time we
finished our walk. We were all wrapped up as if it were January first thing.
Temperature was 6C and wind chill was negative. So not warm in some parts of
Devon!

The wind also seems to have lost that cool 'edge' which it has had for
over
2 weeks now. Dewpoint back up towards double figures.

At 13:30, 15.1C, RH 74%, DP 9.8C, 1001.2 hPa (R), Wind 12 mph NE.

15.7C at 14:00 here Nick. Very hazy but good sunny spells, little wind
& humid. *2nd warmest day of 2008 here. Wind coming straight down from
the moors south of Camborne, often our warmest direction in Spring.
Also 15C at St. Mawgan.

Same here now the sun has broken through. 15.5C. Been a wretched couple of
days for this time of year. Would have been interesting if it had been
January.

Milder here earlier, but the rain since mid-afternoon has spoiled any
sense of warmth. Devon is very green. Here's to next week!
