.... rain started 1155Z here, light, soon becoming mainly moderate with
freshening SE'ly wind, then a short burst (~10 mins) from 15Z of heavy
rainfall, back to light by 1510Z, then ceased around 1545Z. Cloud
character now (1645Z) 'Cuform'.
Total rainfall for that period 13.6 mm.

One occasion when the GFES ensembles from a few days back didn't do
too well, not really indicating much more than around 5 to 8 mm, and
that spread out over a lengthier period. The deterministic runs over
the past couple of days picked it up pretty well though.
